Some Holywood person has won a modelling competition and I congratulate them.
I will not go into details but they are about twenty and (if you admire striking blondes) they are absolutely stunning.They are what is commonly known as trans, whether this means they are transitioning to one sex or wish to express both sexes or indeed a third sex I am not sure.
Your view on that question matters if you have a view,most just choose to be themselves and get on with their lives.Which I assume is what this person is doing.
It doesn’t matter, the competition’s rules put them at the top of a beauty contest and they can celebrate the fact.
However , it is one form of beauty,one that most people cannot aspire to, because one size does not fit all.Which surely is the point.
One size does not fit all,very few people can be models and clothes look good on everyone no matter their shape,sexual orientation or whatever they believe in.
So rest easy, the person won, but we are all winners in our own way.We may not fit Hollywood’s beauty criteria but then again we don’t come from Hollywood.Why should we?
So be confident in yourself, no matter what.I worry that this narrow definition of beauty will do to this person in the future,or what steps they will take to enjoy their life.I wish them the best ,but not the power to influence others who can never reach this definition of “beauty”.
