What’s your favorite word?

Surely Peace must be everyone’s favourite word; and if not why not? It’s a five letter powerhouse of a word encompassing every situation in life and history. Endowing moments with hope and a future for everyone to benefit from.A great leveller and a respecter of life and resources.
Peace be with you World.
Personally I find the use of the word “peace” overused. We all talk about “peace”, yet there is none to be found.
Peace in the world is a magnificent pipe dream, but look at the state of the world. Where is the peace? We have a war going on in Europe (Ukraine), the Middle East, Sudan and so forth.
So to talk about peace in the world is far fetched and frankly, completely disconnected from geopolitical realities. Every nation in Europe is investing heavily into military forces. Because of the Ukraine war.
Then again, you can only make “peace” with yourself and connect with your inner self. That is truly peace.
But in theory I agree, everyone wants peace, but little is done to preserve it.

Thanks Chris, the simplicity of what I wrote struck me.So what we have all these arguments and conflicts, but peace is what everyone wants. The word works, imagine asking Zelensksey and Putin what they want and they’d have to say “Peace”. The debacle of what they are doing and other conflicts around the World just fall apart. They are indeed pointless. So I disagree with you.

Fall apart, I don’t think so.
But everyone wants peace I agree with that fact.
Only the understanding of what peace represents differs in different cultures.
In the west, peace is really peace.
For Putin, peace is the time between wars where he prepares for the next warfare to come. It’s anchored in their culture. You can say that’s quite dark and cynical, but there’s a lot of truth to it.
Of course we can disagree, that’s the joy of a discussion.
