Researching or Scrolling?

Daily writing prompt
Which activities make you lose track of time?

I’ve heard that scrolling the internet on your phone is bad for your health, but surely it’s research and isn’t a waste of brain and time resource.

Researching or Scrolling?

Which activities make you lose track of time?

I read somewhere recently that scrolling endlessly on the internet or on your phone is bad for the brain and your health in general.

However, researching a subject on the internet can be very rewarding and the connections that you make and facts that you learn and check to me are of value, even though, scrolling or researching (as I prefer to call it) time seems to whizz by like a Space Station on speed.

Time waits for no man or woman for that matter

Namaste and thank you for reading.May your Omnipotent being go with you.

Bothersome

What bothers you and why?

I suppose to be bothersome

Is just so much flotsam or maybe jetsam

One accidental and the other deliberate

Whatever the cause it’s can irritate

To bother to worry to be unfair

When there’s litter and no one seems to care.

To have too many children or maybe too few

It’s hard knowing the right thing to do.

Why bother I hear you ask

Well perhaps it’s just another task

A box to tick , something to do

Just a word, ” I’m so sorry to bother you.”

Bothersome

What bothers you and why?

Oh bother me or bother that

Life is full of things like that

The sad fact is we can’t escape

And  Batman won’t arrive  with a flowing cape

Just bother,bother,bother

Let’s face it that politician’s   a tosser

My fate will be  just like any other,

Born, to live and die and cope  with all this

bother.

Ten things I know for certain

List 10 things you know to be absolutely certain.

Reading a good book is inspirational

People can be reliable or unreliable

To care and be gentle are important qualities

Never take yourself too seriously

Shared laughter and love is a gift

Nature is more powerful than humanity

The cynical underestimate the optimist

My skin needs moisturised daily

Aging has its benefits as well as its drawbacks

Matter will always exist and we will always matter

Namaste and Thank You for Reading, may your omnipotent being go with you.

The Two Way Blanket

Are you seeking security or adventure?

I have a magic blanket

It does two  things at once

On cold and quiet days it’s my comfort,

On adventure days it’s helps me with my stunts,

For off I go into the wilderness my trusty tent on

my back

With my magic blanket neatly packed within my

haversack,

It can be a soft seat  to paint and draw,

Or at night a soft pillow to help me snore,

The magic of it being two way

Seems like a miracle to me every day.

Namaste and thank you for reading, may your Omnipotent being go with you.
