What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you?
So you are younger than me,
You have your whole life ahead,
I tell you it’s a journey,
Of Roses it is no bed,
Somehow you have to find your way,
To make things better every day,
Never look gift horses in the mouth,
I tell you that’s a recipe for going South,
For they are feisty creatures who like to bite,
Keep your wits about you and you’ll be alright,
Plenty will tell you that you’re going bad,
And my friend that is just a little sad,
Who knows why people do what they do?
Remember it isn’t always to do with you.
I know you think I’m past my best,
I’m lucky now I can have a rest ,
Your time is now and use it well,
Dreads and Fears you must quell.
No one knows everything,
But to life, good is what you should bring.
