Have you ever regretted reading a book — which one and why?
I don’t think Catcher in The Rye was for me,
Perhaps too close to home it turned out to be,
A confused youth who misses the point,
An adolescent who gets sick having a joint,
Rejects the World as full of phonies,
While his dad makes money backing dead cert
ponies,
His World is there to explore,
Misinterpreting Burns is such a bore,
There was no truth ,
Just misspent youth,
The truth is you can’t escape,
And life happens and isn’t fake.
