Supper is a good enough word for me,
And to combine it with good Scottish Poetry,
That’s a cultural tradition that many hold dear,
On the twenty-fifth of January every year,
To celebrate Scotland’s handsome poet,
Though so many people don’t really understand it,
The words they are so rare and ol’
And perhaps time has taken a bit of a toll,
Still each year we gather to pipe the Haggis,
And raise our toast in whisky glasses,
To speak the words as Burns once did,
“Make sure that haggis is really deid!”
