If you had to be an animal for a week, which one would you be and why?
I’d be Samba the Capybara that escaped from Marwell Zoo due her enclosure being damaged in a storm in March 2026.
The Zoo are still hopeful that she is alive and well and living in undergrowth nearby. The last possible sighting of her was by a local fisherman and traps and cameras were set up in order to return her to the safety of the zoo.
I for one would like to be her for a week , so that I could let her understand that there is no one out to harm her and she might be happier back in the zoo. It’s not really a case of “Born Free”, perhaps she’s not really enjoying her freedom and is very confused. It would be nice to know.
