Behaviour

What makes you nervous?

I was nervous and irritable at the behaviour of one person today.

They are scared of their position, are threatened, but do not want to help or improve things.

So they do not help others.

My nervousness originates from the fact I cannot help them.

Like A Pro!

How do you use social media?

Yes, I have mastered Social Media by treating it like a Giant Advertising Agency I can choose to watch or just leave.

It’s useful or useless.

One click bait that struck me today was” how to attract humming birds to your hanging baskets” ..I live in the UK , we don’t have humming birds.

Sums it up really.

Motorway Mind

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

Thoughts racing down the motorway of my mind. I am just an observer. The lights, the colours all create moods and interpretations, but nothing is permanent or even static.Memories whizz by and fade into the distance.Calculations and theories wade through the detritus of overthinking and leave the soul tired and forlorn.

I wish I could sleep

Stu

Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.

His name was Stu, I saw him sitting in a subway connecting the bus station to the main town where I worked. He was sitting on the ground, I suppose looking for people to give him spare change or buy him a coffee or a bacon roll for breakfast.

I don’t know how I got talking to him, he didn’t seem like other more aggressive homeless people who in truth I avoided .I worried Stu would get into a fight about whose “patch” it was but nothing ever happened.Though I think the Police moved him on occasionally.

One time I spoke to him and he told me a story about someone he knew in prison, for he had done “time”.I can’t even remember what he told me and it was a tragic but funny story and  I started laughing uncontrollably and so did he, it was a shared moment and a good start to the working day.

I walked away with tears of joy in my eyes, I wasn’t worried about Stu,he could look after himself. We lost touch, but even with whatever problems he had I’m sure he is fine.

And it was a very positive encounter.

One Step Forward

Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

I remember the moment like it was yesterday,my arms were held high above my head and I was standing very  unsteadily. There were lots of oohs and ahhh s in the room and everyone was watching me.

I put one foot in front and wobbled, then another, the hands that held onto mine above my head  moved forward slowly with me, my  right foot’s chubby toes dangled in the air. Then hit the ground again.

There were cheers of delight , I had chosen the right moment to take my first steps.

It’s a Steal

Tis a funny kind of deal,,

To take  back the steel,

For so long it’s been hated,

Five star  pollution rated,

A carbon nightmare of vast proportions,

Ignoring all climate change cautions,

Keep the furnaces burning,we need their metal

Mrs Craggy we need your kettle,

Stainless is what we do best

But if you pay us we’ll do the rest,

It wasn’t worth the Chinese while ,

And now they’re  angry and   fermenting bile,

Let’s hope they don’t take revenge,

And send their J-17’s  over Stonehenge,

Just for show ,no one wants a war,

In truth it’s their ego that’s a bit sore,

But the cost will be far in the future,

A carbon mess and all for  pewter.

British Steal  or Chinese Steel

Somehow Politicians have reconciled keeping two massive blast furnaces fed when the real owners who presumably had paid monies for the Steelworks wanted to close them down

Well so much for Global Warming and Global Trade Agreements.

China owned British Steel, and now a change of Law allows the current Government to take it back. A large proportion of the people working in the location in the U.K. were Chinese Nationals and most likely were well qualified and at managerial level.

So given we have eroded our skill levels in manufacturing how will these blast furnaces survive and do we really want them to?

Labour saves British jobs! The headlines will say and Politicians will pat themselves on the back. However, this is a short term action with potentially catastrophic  long term consequences.

The real reason Starmer and his cohorts want to keep those furnaces going is Steel for war. We’re going back to being an Island in the 1940’s where we stood alone against Hitler, we need our Steel.

Yes,now we will be Patriotic and ensure we have a steel making facility. This was not a long term plan, the plan that was being followed was don’t manufacture anything, sell it off, buy it in and be a trading Country.

And here we are,an unseemly rush to keep two old furnaces going, King Charles had no choice but to sign the decree to allow the Government basically to take over a privately run business, but Charles being an environmentally aware King, surely must see the lunacy in maintaining two clapped out furnaces which really makes a mockery of reducing Co 2 emissions.

And who will pay for this mismanagement, the people of course. We need to keep the Furnaces going,no matter what the cost or the quality of steel they produce.

We will save money by cutting budgets in other areas and by stealing money from Pensioners and those who can’t defend themselves. Not to mention the damage to the environment.

We will have steel to build weapons and vehicles for our conscripted soldiers who will fight for what they do not know.A shell of an existence, poor education, alcohol and drug fueled team work outings and a lifestyle that they never will be able to afford, but that their parents once could.

Perhaps people in China are happier.I’d like to think so

Perhaps I have something.

Describe something you learned in high school.

That if you are good at sport ,bullies don’t bother you.

I had a bad feeling I was going to be picked on by a group of girls, but it was just before our one and only ever hockey lesson at school

The teacher wanted to demonstrate the basics of a tackle using a hockey stick  and chose me as her opposition.I stopped her every time she tried to get by me.

Later on I noticed the main girl had decided that I was no longer a target.

It was a weird feeling, but sadly they just moved on to someone else.
