While the Australians have banned 16 year olds, the French are considering banning them and British MP’s have raised a petition to ban 16 year olds from Social Media. Meanwhile some of the worst offenders are Politicians themselves , in this case the above Northern Ireland Minister was found responsible for using a Facebook post to “contribute to further unrest” with respect to immigration in Northern Ireland.

I certainly didn’t realise that Warner Brothers Discovery was subject to a hostile bid that would potentially see a combining of franchises like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter with other Network successes perhaps of less artistic merit. The two protaganists are Paramount and Netflix, with Netflix leading the way with a cash bid , whereas Paramounts bid is seen as far too reliant on debt and leverage and the backing of Larry Ellison. It seems the world of creativity is being monetised and if we want to see the arts we’ll have to sign up and subscribe to the highest bidder.

A right wing republican sees Alberta as the entry level for gaining a slice of Canada from a population willing to “separate”. He spouts this idea as there have been rumblings in Alberta that they need a pipeline to the Pacific and that there are moves afoot to have a referendum to separate from Canada. The idea though is independence from Canada and the USA, they just want to be able to supply oil to these Countries and need the infrastructure to achieve that. That is a lot different from saying we want to be the next American State.

Banning children from a new premium-class carriage has caused a few raised eyebrows in France. Some see it as a attack on the human rights of children. Others well they are thinking wouldn’t it be nice to go somewhere where you didn’t have to accommodate doting parents with their manic hyperactive attention demanding children. Good Headline though, personally if you are willing to pay for a carriage by yourself you should be entitled to, no one expects you to share your hotel suite with someone else’s four year old , do they?
