Thank you to Diego Pinada and the Independent Online for the Headline.
Seems even Beverley Hills can’t guarantee that there is an awareness and support when someone can no longer live safely by themselves.
Elizabeth Linda Paterson was an old lady ,she was blind, and could barely walk . Her only contact with the outside world was a food delivery package once a week. She lived in a condominium containing 36 other units .
The smell probably got too much and concerned residents called on outside agencies to intervene. The Fire Brigade visited and found her condo in an awful state ,Elizabeth was living in one room at the back. There was discarded waste including human waste everywhere. It was a health hazard and attracting all sorts of vermin.
Elizabeth was taken to hospital, where she later died.
The property itself, as her Estate,is being sued by local authorities and is regarded as a “Public Hazard” and permission and the cost of the clean up will have to come from her estate as no other estate members have come forward
A sad end to a human being in this day and age to be classed as a “Public Hazard”.I suppose it could happen anywhere.
Namaste and Thank You for Reading.🙏
