I believe that the transition from life to death where humanly possible should be respectful, free of pain and worry and to use an often used word “humane”. Although, along with everyone else I do feel that humanity is not always kind
This resurrected Bill from last year did not achieve this respectful transition and thankfully has been defeated after having been given a serious drilling down last year by the House of Lords.
It does concern me that those who pushed the bill were hell bent on getting the “legislation” in place no matter what the cost.
To me the cost of the ill thought out bill would have been the deaths of people who may have not had the choice that they thought they were having,or perhaps we’re in no position to make a choice at all.
I agree wholeheartedly that there needs to be a recognition that “being put to sleep” is not just for very sick animals ,but for everyone to sleep soundly ,we need to be confident that it is not a bill of convenience.Every case is unique, can the Law or indeed Politicians deal with that?
Namaste and Thank You for Reading🙏
