This is very much a David versus Goliath story involving rare wildlife originally from Madagascar ending up in Bangladesh eventually being rescued from the Wildlife Trade and placed in a Bangladeshi Safari Park.
Then in 2025 with the help of a security guard, the lemurs were again stolen and transported and traded in India, finally ending up in the Private Zoo Collection of Mukesh Ambani one of Asia’s richest men and a close friend of The Indian Prime Minister Modi.
The zoo called Vantara is a philanthropic project by the Ambani family, but the fact remains that the animals who were featured on the zoo’s social media are likely to be the stolen Lemurs.
Bangladesh has asked Interpol to get involved and have said that they can identify the animals by their D.N.A.
Ventura zoo has come under scrutiny from organisations concerned with animal trafficking in both Europe and further afield, however the Zoo has firmly denied any such involvement.
