Cornish Parking Pixie

Places and names have been changed to protect the Cornish Parking Pixie. In need of retail sustenance and a visit to a real bank in order  to exchange £5notes for £2 coins for the washing machine.

We ended up in a multi-storey car park, looking for an option to pay the parking charge While driving around we saw two ordinary men in high-viz and stopped to ask how to pay?

In strange voices, they said “Don’t” and then they both laughed!.

“But, how do we pay? We don’t want a fine!” we smiled and joined in their hilarity.

“You won’t get one!”They both started rolling on the floor laughing louder and louder.

My husband was getting upset, and just like he won’t ask for directions so I have to,I said

“Why is that?”

They both shouted “The cameras aren’t working!”

“Forget all that nonsense about apps, park anywhere you like! It’s free!” They picked themselves up off the floor and headed on their way.As I looked at their bright yellow jackets,on the back it read “Cornish Pixie”.

Now sitting in the comfort of my arm chair,I hope they were honest pixies.
