Thankfully the proposal to send asylum seekers to Rwanda to await the outcome of their claims for asylum came; to nothing.
It was the outgoing Conservative Government who devised the plan and the incoming Labour Government under Keir Starmer who cancelled the agreement and quite rightly so.
Under International Law the Rwandan Government tried to sue for damages of £100 million due to the expenses it had incurred in working out the terms of the deal with the Conservatives. They have been unsuccessful with the claim.
So hopefully this is an end to a very sad story.
Namaste and Thank You for Reading.🙏
