Dog point blank refused to go for a walk this morning at the campsite .It has beautiful dog walking fields, but recently growers in fields nearby have acquired a bird scarer which the sound of turns our dog into a quivering wreck.
At home, we have game shooting, and sometimes fireworks which has the same effect.Very often we have to take him for a drive in the car ,which reassures and calms him.
Down here though,my partner doesn’t really want to drive off somewhere, as the dog seems to think a café is now part of the process.
Today ,the dog was brought to Hollywell Bay,a ten minute drive away,but there was a literal sand storm on the beach so he didn’t want to walk on the beach or the sand dunes.Literally, there was nowhere to go,even the pub doesn’t open for breakfast.
Partner came back very grumpy and we still had bird scaring noises all day.
Put on his doggy ear muffs that do help.Still it wasn’t all bad ,in the end we had a good day(to be continued)
