Don’t Listen to Advice

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Advice, a well meant shot,

At what you must and not

It can make life a bind

And to some is most unkind

Who knows what’s best for you

In truth, it’s up to you .

Nout

What bores you?

Nout bores me .How can you be bored when even your body( Yes I mean you!No matter what you think of your body) is an amazing being beyond human understanding despite our doctors best efforts.

There’s something out there I would never underestimate and to think life boring is nuts

Namaste and Thank you for reading.

Water flavoured with crushed juniper berries and my own mix of spices

What is your favorite drink?

Cold water, what a precious draft, and increasingly so for many.

Water at home has become a political volleyball with everyone arguing about profits, dividends and whether metering will work. Not to mention sewage.

For the moment though, the water comes out of the tap and to be honest tastes pretty good.

Our bills have gone up quite a lot, though I have it on good authority that they are worth querying. I doubt we will get around to it.If they connected us to the meter they have already supplied  we would save money.

Anyway add a fridge, juniper berries, and a few other spices infused for a short while. A sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon and some good quality tonic water(most likely fever tree) and you have a delicious drink. I think.

Namaste and Thank you for Reading.

Who are your favorite people to be around?

At various times,at various places we can all be our favourite people.

And the exact opposite applies too.

RIP My Wellingtons

Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

My Wellingtons passed the other day

They had a good life I’m glad to say

The sole had cracked and they began to leak

Sadly they will never become antique

I remember well the day they were bought

Five years ago,I thought then nought,

About how good friends they would be

To my allotment and me,

In every weather,

We were together,

They splurged through mud and claggy clay

And cleaned up nicely the next day,

To  spade and fork  they were a friend

I’m sad that this is now the end.

Fudge It

Write about your approach to budgeting.

My budget is a fudge It,

A pot that’s not a lot

It’s never going to be that  much

As money is not my crutch

It comes and goes

And ebbs and flows

I jump back from seeing  the abyss of debt

Walk away from the need to get

To do without an unsecured loan

To purchase the latest phone

Is no big deal

Infact feels more real

If it’s not a critical  need

Then it’s probably a  false creed.

The secret is to ignore

The  attractive marketable whore

Takes discipline my friend

But you’ll be happier in the end.

Of course

Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

I recently watched Steven Spielberg’s film “Lincoln”.It summed up to me how difficult it is to follow the right path when you are chosen to lead.

How exciting!

Have you ever unintentionally broken the law?

Unintentionally breaking the law sounds a bit edgy to me,if I had I wouldn’t admit to it.

Page Turner

If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?

Of course Paige Turner could be a sleuth private detective living by her wits in downtown Los Angeles, saving her World one clue at a time.

Or indeed as I originally envisaged she could be a lady sitting  on a shared piano stool turning music notation pages for a forgetful  piano player in a sleazy bar in Soho.

Either way, Page Turner seems a good title for an everywoman or everyman biography.I suppose we all do it.

Happy Valentine’s Day.Namaste and Thank you for reading.
