Tiny

Describe a family member.

Tiny is the family caterpillar. He’s been with us many years since  we rescued him from a silk farm in China which we visited when on holiday.

In truth, he fell into our laps when we were looking around the nursery during  the visit to the  silk worm factory .He ended up in the pocket of my jacket and to cut a long story short,he came home with us.

Luckily for us,my uncle is a renowned alternative entomologist, so we had a lot of good advice and specialist care which meant we have been able to keep Tiny as a caterpillar and prevent him turning into a butterfly

Some would say that it was cruel and against nature, but Tiny is very happy, and is such a character that losing  him would be devastating to all of us.

So Tiny, who has remained  tiny  has his own vivarium and also has designated plants that he can exercise on .The only pitfall being he likes to wander.

We’ve lost him in the house a few times, but each time he made  his way back to his vivarium,he’s bright green and quite hairy, we think he has a leg missing, but it doesn’t seem to affect him.He certainly is n’t poisonous and he loves being handled and crawling onto your hands.

He’s a well loved member of our family and we’re kind of glad he didn’t end up as  a silk shirt .

The grounding ground.

Basil, mint, and thyme—scent of soil and sunlight’s warmth, roots finding their way. Hands deep in the earth, I feel the quiet pulse of life beat beneath my fingers—a slow, steady rhythm that grounds me in a way few things do. Roots twist below, unseen threads tying me to this moment, reminding me that sometimes the […]

Am I too Clever for AI?

Being a modest soul, and not wishing to blow my own trumpet without good reason.I would have to say yes, probably.

I firmly believe that any prompt generated by a computer mind can be outfoxed(vernacular) or outalgorithemed(redlined,as the word does not exist) would be a better term.Except the computer is telling me I should not use it.

The human capacity for remembering and collating data is innate and can surprise us some times.More often than not it disappoint’s ,but that is by,the by. There are moments that we all have experienced where we say,how did I remember that? Or where we make a connection intuitively which astounds us.

I’m sure you all have had that experience, and for that reason I confidently will assert “I am too clever for AI”

Namaste.

Been there ,done it.

How much would you pay to go to the moon?

I don’t need to pay anyone to go to the Earth Moon as I’ve already been there

The cosmos and our galaxies and different universes are constantly adapting and changing sometimes quite explosively.

I was part of an Earth moon rock a long time ago and somehow I ended up here, assembled as me. Well you’ve just got to accept a lot of things that happen in your celestial being, don’t you?

So no way would I pay anyone to do what happens naturally.Particularly if it requires ,noisy, smelly rockets.

Broken Paths

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

I’m only interested now in broken Paths, because I think they have a meandering beauty.

Careering is a false god and maybe those with the wisdom to avoid its’ pitfalls will get the respect they deserve. With the inevitable  realisation that  Mammon is becoming more and more  mouse-like every day.

Oven baked Fish and Chips

What food would you say is your specialty?

Yes,I don’t go out and catch the fish, nor am I a dab hand at mixing the beer flavoured batter.I admit it all comes in a cardboard box from the supermarket(which one  depends on my funds)…Cod or Haddock,I don’t mind.

I do have the necessary metal baking tray and my favourite chips are always in the freezer.I’m an expert at timing them and the fact that everything is baked, makes it  low fat and to be honest a lot easier to clean up after, particularly if you oil the tray.

Octopus or Jellyfish?

Definitely not octopus though or for that matter Jellyfish, that would not be my idea of a fishy treat.

5 things children need help for

1) Emotional support Children are constantly trying to learn about the world around them. Talking about how they feel is a learnt skill. They don’t start out knowing this. They will need help to manage their emotions, such as dealing with frustration, anger or sadness. 2) Education Children will need assistance in understanding how to […]

A Playground of Ruins

They bring missiles into playgrounds, where children once ran, happy and free. Beds where dreams should safely bloom, have become fields of fear and debris. Those in power guard iron walls, and not the fragile hearts that break. Grown-ups dodge their duty still, while expecting children to awake. Irony it is, that cuts sharper than […]

The Earth and Our children

I am proud to be part of this Earth, the only place where life thrives and grows.Whether it is the first sprout rising from the soil or the young of animals and birds, every new life reflects pure energy. The greatest source of hope however lies in our children. They are our students, our responsibility […]
