Victor Hugo

Daily writing prompt
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?

I found Victor Hugo’s books and life story entirely by myself. No I didn’t buy expensive tickets to go and see Les Miserables at the theatre. It was the Hunchback of Notre Dame that lead me to him and his less well known books like Toilers of the Sea and The Man Who Laughs. The humanity of the man and his writing is uncanny. I keep him in my heart, yes he is that good of a writer.

  1. Beautiful choice, JB — Hugo was a universe in human form. His words still breathe empathy. Funny thing, I stopped reading books long ago.
