Little Hovel

Daily writing prompt
Who are the biggest influences in your life?

So what are the biggest influences in my life? Are they who’s or what’s? I think they are both. They are both part of my D.N.A and also part of my experience.

But Little Hovel, is my home and it’s where I can be myself and not have intrusions or distractions that modern life thrusts upon us. Perhaps my D.N.A and my experience taught me that Little Hovel is where the heart is.

Oops I did it again

Share what you know about the year you were born.

Are you kidding, do you think I’m going to tell( or share as you so empathetically put it) with an AI prompt my year of birth so you could can add it to your ever increasing digital database. What do you think? I was born yesterday? Well I wasn’t! And no I wasn’t born in the year that the wonderful Britney Spears had her hit record dressed as a schoolgirl , so don’t try to be clever. It just seemed a good title.

Hope your algorithm explodes with misnomers.

Sylvester or Tweetie Pie

Are you a good judge of character?

No matter how bad Sylvester was he was still my favourite. Poor Tweetie Pie, her intelligence, her understanding all went by the wayside, but thankfully she always got the better of that naughty cat Sylvester.

Golden Glow

When are you most happy?

We can choose to ignore it , we can choose not to believe in it, but the truth is it is there.

Good people create warmth and caring, they do not try and break each other to move onto the next goal, they do not profit from another’s lack of resource to cope with whatever is thrown at them. They see what is needed and try and improve the status quo so that the unnecessary suffering is stopped

Yes there is much ill in this world but there is more good and that good makes me happy when I feel it’s golden glow. It is there and you have to learn to appreciate it and be influenced by it.

Walk the dog.

Daily writing prompt
What was the last thing you did for play or fun?

I walked my dog, has to be done very regularly and it’s fun. Why get a dog if you are not going to have fun with him/her.

List your top 5 grocery store items.

Listing my top 5 grocery items, might just give away too much . Am I a healthy eater? Do I have a biscuit fetish? How often to I do the washing up? Do I use toilet rolls regularly enough. Seriously I think there are things better left unsaid and details not spread over the internet.

In Truth No, but something would be terribly wrong if it was.

Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?

As decisions are subject to the Law of Randomness, whether they are ill considered or for reasons unknown fall by the wayside in a heap of confusion despite initially being a crystal clear plan. This is all perfectly normal.

Just watch a sparrow misjudge landing on a branch it has landed on a thousand times before, but this time the wind blew in an unexpected direction and when said sparrow put out it’s claws the branch wasn’t there and the poor thing ended up lying upside down in the bush much to the other sparrows amusement.

Such is life and actually when you meet the people who go on and on about their achievements you begin to realise the randomness is worth savouring.

Actually I can knit socks

Daily writing prompt
What skills or lessons have you learned recently?

I can knit my own version of cotton socks , which are really good for my feet and I knit them in bright colours so they are not so easy to misplace and look bright. I have a pair for each day of the week but I’m going to knit more.

Belomagnificance

The city I would most like to visit is Belomagnificance, because it is a place no one else has visited. The people who are there are just there and you have to be invited to visit and you can only stay three days and you are sworn to secrecy that you have visited. So in truth probably lots of people have been.

In the three days you are there you will have the best “City” experience without the deteriorating roads, the traffic , the prices and the pollution . Oh and most of all you won’t see the detritus on the streets including those who have come to the City for somewhere warm to sleep and to take shelter in a doorway.

Yes , it is an ideal City which only exists in my imagination , or at least that is the story I’m sticking to.
