Totally Grungey

What will your life be like in three years?

My life if it still exists will be totally Grungey, but in a good sort of Nirvana (without the sad end of Kurt Cobain) and without the David Grohl affirmation of being an ex-Nirvana bandmate.

I will probably have a favourite jumper which I will wear every day for three years in a Kurt  scruff style.Except I will fool everyone by having two identical ones,so I won’t be smelly as one will always be in the wash.

Of course not being as as beautiful as Kurt, will be a drawback, but I will keep everyone guessing.

I will have deep emotional thoughts and generally hold my hands up to those in authority and say “enough” in a vague sort of way ,that will puzzle them but they won’t be able to ignore me because by then I will have garnered interest amongst many in the World, whose lives have been grunged by  fools whose values I  very much disdain.

As I say,the only bummer is that these reprobate leaders will have ruined everything and destroyed the planet.

If I survive though; the fact that I live simply and give a damn will stop those unhinged egotists in their tracks.

RIP Kurt Cobain, but Nirvana lives on and perhaps in three years  the World  will be closer to attaining it.

The White Room

Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.

I arrived at the white room by teleport, scanning a barcode which put my location and body mass details in.From the centre of Birmingham England,I was transported to aThe White Room.

In The White Room my holiday began.

My thoughts decided what I would  do.

My first thought,I would like to go for a swim in a warm water sea with no sharks or jellyfish.

One of the white walls became a patio window which looked out onto a beautiful white sand beach. My clothes changed and I was in a very attractive full swimsuit and flip flops. My skin was moist with very expensive sun tan lotion and my hair was tied up with a rainbow coloured scrunch.

I walked slowly into the beach and down to the waters edge.I looked back at the patio,it was still there.

I walked thigh deep into the water and bent my knees and stretched my arms out and felt the warmth of the blue sea embrace my body as I floated away.

I swam for ages and eventually I returned to the White Room.Whatever thoughts or wishes I had made  my ideal holiday  and they all happened. The proviso being they did no harm to any living thing(that was in the terms and conditions).

I had a wonderful holiday and of course did not want it to end. Dreaming of the next. Until next year.

What would you ask from the White Room? All holidays are good for you,and it is worth thinking carefully about them,to maximise your enjoyment.

Re-living is against Nature.

Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?

No,I would not like to re-live any time in my current life.

Regrets are pointless and surely the challenges we face each day and how we deal with them is something we should celebrate.

The animal world lives in the moment and so should we. Time is not a painting that can be retouched.

Goodnight and may your God go with  you.

The worst trait of human existence is to use others for  benefit without equitable reward.

What’s something you believe everyone should know.

The worst trait of human existence is to use others for benefit without equitable reward. Look out for them, don’t have anything to do with them.

If an idea is so bad it needs slave labour then it is a bad idea.

If someone despises others because they perceive they  are less talented or able than themselves and thus deserve abuse then stay out of their way and do your best to warn others.

Humanity does not waste and uses skills to make things better. It does not abuse.

Watch and learn what motivates people to behave like they do and avoid the users.

Which one is the user?

Getting Excited

What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

So sad to hear that you don’t get excited anymore.

That you’ve lost that childish wonder about the World we are in.Interestingly wild animals don’t really get excited, they are too busy surviving. Maybe that applies to you.To maintain life  is a  survival and a priority.

Pets are different, they get excited, they do zoomies in a field, they play with each other, they see water and want to jump in it.

Best of all,you come home and they are happy to see you. Bit like children you say.

I’m pleased to say that dogs in particular, never lose that excitement. They are like that in their nineties as long as they stay healthy. So they get excited even when they are old.

Still,as you say a bit like children, maybe we all need to be kids’ at heart, don’t you think?

The Laird of The Lamp

You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

A young boy, called Rab, many years ago, lived  on a croft, that his family worked; way up in a remote  mountainous region of Scotland called the Highlands.

The family did not have much money and if any of the sheep they farmed were ill or died then they would very often have to do without.

Rab worked hard looking after the sheep and in winter, would sleep in the small barn with them to protect them from the cold and the wolves and bears that would eat them given a chance.

One night, while laying out some dried moss to sleep on.Rab noticed something shiny underneath the fresh moss that he had recently gathered from outside.

Earlier on, while taking in  the moss and drying it he had mumbled to himself wishing  that his family could have a bit of luck, instead of facing hardship all the time.

He dug his hands deeper into the moss and picked up the object. It was a tin lamp.

“Not much value in that he thought,it’s a pretty object. My mum  might find it of use or we could sell it to one of our neighbours.I wish it was gold.”

The Lamp changed into gold, but Rab couldn’t tell the difference,to him it was just a dirty old lamp.He laid it to one side and completed his chores which meant feeding and watering the sheep in the barn.

The carrots and turnips that he had for feed, were well passed their best and he felt sorry for the sheep.

“Oh if only I had some decent food, not these rotten carrots and turnips”. Rab said to himself.

It was then he noticed a bag in the corner of the barn,it was full of corn that the sheep loved.Rab was puzzled, but thought his dad must have bought it at the market for winter feed and forgot to tell him.

He supplemented the meagre carrots and turnips with the corn.

After, the sheep were fed and watered Rab settled down for the night on his bed of dried moss and slept soundly.

Unbeknown to Rab,the lamp contained the Laird of The Lamp, who by now had granted three wishes to the boy and  could now  escape from the lamp in which he had been trapped by a spirit for being an evil and  greedy Laird of his people.

The Laird looked down at the boy as he slept and was very grateful to Rab.The Laird had needed to grant three simple wishes to someone who was near the lamp and true of heart and not greedy. Rab had done so and the Laird was free.

From that day, Rab’s family had better luck and they began to make their way in the world. They sold the gold lamp and eventually were able to buy their own land and live on it happily for many generations.

The family  knew of the  Laird nearby who had returned weary from battle and had settled in the area.

He had been a great help to many people and things had improved since his arrival. He was fair and intelligent and offered good advice with everyday problems

No one knew his real story, not even Rab, only the Laird knew what turned him from being a Bad Laird to a Good one.

Tiny

Describe a family member.

Tiny is the family caterpillar. He’s been with us many years since  we rescued him from a silk farm in China which we visited when on holiday.

In truth, he fell into our laps when we were looking around the nursery during  the visit to the  silk worm factory .He ended up in the pocket of my jacket and to cut a long story short,he came home with us.

Luckily for us,my uncle is a renowned alternative entomologist, so we had a lot of good advice and specialist care which meant we have been able to keep Tiny as a caterpillar and prevent him turning into a butterfly

Some would say that it was cruel and against nature, but Tiny is very happy, and is such a character that losing  him would be devastating to all of us.

So Tiny, who has remained  tiny  has his own vivarium and also has designated plants that he can exercise on .The only pitfall being he likes to wander.

We’ve lost him in the house a few times, but each time he made  his way back to his vivarium,he’s bright green and quite hairy, we think he has a leg missing, but it doesn’t seem to affect him.He certainly is n’t poisonous and he loves being handled and crawling onto your hands.

He’s a well loved member of our family and we’re kind of glad he didn’t end up as  a silk shirt .

Been there ,done it.

How much would you pay to go to the moon?

I don’t need to pay anyone to go to the Earth Moon as I’ve already been there

The cosmos and our galaxies and different universes are constantly adapting and changing sometimes quite explosively.

I was part of an Earth moon rock a long time ago and somehow I ended up here, assembled as me. Well you’ve just got to accept a lot of things that happen in your celestial being, don’t you?

So no way would I pay anyone to do what happens naturally.Particularly if it requires ,noisy, smelly rockets.

Broken Paths

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

I’m only interested now in broken Paths, because I think they have a meandering beauty.

Careering is a false god and maybe those with the wisdom to avoid its’ pitfalls will get the respect they deserve. With the inevitable  realisation that  Mammon is becoming more and more  mouse-like every day.
