Is budgeting a thing? A thing of beauty or a thing of hard won discipline. Is it something we have to do or just want to do for the sake of an easy life. It’s not dangerous if we do, it but it can be dangerous if we don’t. You don’t need to be good to do it, bad people can budget too. I like to think as budgeting as a thing. A scary monster.

My budget is a fudge It,
A pot that’s not a lot
It’s never going to be that much
As money is not my crutch
It comes and goes
And ebbs and flows
I jump back from seeing the abyss of debt
Walk away from the need to get
To do without an unsecured loan
To purchase the latest phone
Is no big deal
Infact feels more real
If it’s not a critical need
Then it’s probably a false creed.
The secret is to ignore
The attractive marketable whore
Takes discipline my friend
But you’ll be happier in the end.
