#HeadlineTherapy Arrest after £100k in counterfeit cash seized

Thank you to Oprah Flash from BBC Online News for the Headline

I’ve worked in a few retail business’s and there was an onus put on those at the till-face to spot fake notes and also to deal with the culprit trying to pass them off.

So I read this Headline with interest, as I often wondered where the notes came from. Turns out that in this particular case , the £20 notes were printed in a house in Kidderminster and then sold on e-bay

The notes are sold on the internet as “prop” notes, presumably for fake magic tricks. However , pieces of foil are used to conceal the “prop note” text, and these are definitely illegal and counterfeit.

Unfortunately these notes are worth nothing and end up having to be given into the Police who then have to investigate their origin.

I remember there would be a spate of attempts at passing them in one area, and word tended to get around to be on the look out.

Counterfeit

Namaste and Thank You for Reading. 🙏
