Oceanographers of the Soul

O sovereign silence, you are the unbounded sea—calm as prayer, smooth as polished glass, hiding universes beneath your paper-thin, trembling skin! Your surface speaks nothing, whispers everything—a magnificent deception of stillness that breathes with the ancient rhythms of unmapped depths. What terrible beauties writhe in the midnight corridors of your hidden heart, what storms rage […]

Shadow Shapes

What are your favorite physical activities or exercises?

I have a little Pinkie

It’s like a little Winkie

Some say that that is Lude

Really they are just Rude

For my Pinkie likes to Wriggle

And my friends they always Giggle

A Rabbits Ear or A Witches Tongue

A little bird when Spring has Sprung

To tell the truth , and verify,

There’s no need to tell a lie,

It isn’t just Pinkie at all !

All my Fingers have a Ball!

Everything is Dandy and Right

Until my mum turns off the Light

Admiration

What is something others do that sparks your admiration?

Crikey , the reality is there is not any person in this World that I don’t admire for getting through the day without hurting or wilfully being nasty to anyone. Yes , you can try and improve things for yourself , but how wonderful to improve things for everyone and not be egotistical about it.

Namaste . Thank you for Reading.

Cartoons were fun

What’s your favorite cartoon?

Cartoons were fun,the slapstick of Tom and Jerry always seemed amazing to me.No one ever died and revenge was hopeless.Everyone lived to fight another day.

I don’t think I’ve watched a cartoon in a long while, although animation as an art form certainly has its ‘place.

Possibly some high art form would be my thing now.I think I started watching a Japanese animated film about a young boy who tries to look after his sister after losing their parents in the war,I couldn’t watch it to the end as it was so sad. The little girl died of starvation.

There you go,I am glad that Tom and Jerry were around when I was a kid, they gave me  resilience and perspective.

Namaste,thank you for reading

The Mare Eternal

The foal bolted. Little streak of chaos, its legs seemed far too long and far too skinny to carry it as fast as it went, but there it was, defying reason, defying physics, defying the well-worn patience of its mother. The mare sighed, the sound a mix of exasperation and resignation, the kind only mothers […]

Playing Patience on my Phone

What could you do less of?

It is such a mine numbingly boring waste of time playing patience either with playing cards but especially on my phone. When I think of it over the years since the free game has existed I’ve played it . Two ,Three maybe Four times a year , I watch the cascade of cards go into their four piles and think ” I won”. To get that buzz of winning, I’ve probably played ten times a day.

It’s really a switch off, and thankfully, to a large extent I’ve switched it off. Today I very rarely play as I look for things now that maybe add a new dimension to my thoughts, expand them and add compound interest.

So naturally I do less of Playing Patience.

Namaste Thank you for Reading.

Shooting Solves Nothing

I would first of all like to offer my condolences to the family of Brian Thomson the CEO of United Healthcare. My thoughts are with them and what I write below is meant as a cry for understanding of healthcare needs for everyone.

I feel for American Society that there is no such thing as a good quality public health service in the United States of America.

America voted and Americans said that health care would be a lottery and would be based on means and insurance.

As a result the head of a Health Insurance Company, United Healthcare, that no one in the UK has ever heard of is shot while walking back to his hotel. Perhaps most Americans know his Company and perhaps relatives and friends suffered at it’s hands due to non payment of claims. With American Gun Laws , the unfortunate but perhaps( to the killers eye culpable man)met his end in a cold blooded planned assassination. The bullets etched with words chillingly used to decline a Health Insurance Claim.

No Chief Executive Officer should die for running a business. CEO’s are numbers people responsible for reporting figures to their shareholders. Their moral compass may have skewed to the extent that they have lost all understanding of the effects purely looking at numbers and results and ignoring the “soft” issues like, people suffering uncontrollable pain through not being able to afford the drugs they need, or families being at their wits end with a very ill baby , who have stopped their insurance payments to keep food on the table. Those issues are not “soft” for those families.

America, now has the potential to turn into a cross between Victorian Britain with its’ paupers graves, workhouses and chronically poor people and the really bad bits of the Wild West( If you didn’t agree with someone you’d shoot them.) Certainly not the American Dream.

To add insult to injury , America is eyeing the UK’s NHS as a potential candidate for their system. The NHS is a money pit , with plenty of opportunities to make people pay. Thankfully we don’t have the gun laws and we don’t have Capital Punishment that would inevitably go hand in hand with more freely available weapons. Killing a police officer in the 1950’s was one of the few offences along with treason that would incur the death penalty in the UK. However, currently in the UK we do not have Capital Punishment.

We do now have assisted dying legislation, however, let’s face it if a hospital wants to send a patient home who isn’t quite ready to go home and is “bed blocking” it’s an inconvenience, just like not paying your insurance subscriptions might be an inconvenience and wouldn’t it be easier and the figures look neater if we could just assist them to a better place. Maybe offer free funerals?

Hippocrates recognised over 2000 years ago the potential for Healthcare abuse, he is responsible for the Hippocratic Oath that all Medical Doctors have historically taken. The American Health Care System modified their version in the US in the 1960’s . Doctors in Pakistan adhere to the original oath apparently. Surely being a Doctor in Pakistan is no different than being a Doctor in the US, UK or the rest of the World for that matter. Why the need to modify it? Were they looking for a short cut in care, to make it cheaper, to make the figures look better.

And this sadly , is where we’ve ended up. We either care of we don’t care . There is no in between.

Ignoring the Tittle Tattle of the Media

What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?

So what is the most positive thing I have done in 2024, well it’s pretty much a constant.

I have ignored what the Media in all it’s forms which has been pushed( marketing term) on to me, or if something has caught my interest, I have never taken what I’ve been told at face value and have investigated or even just sat down and contemplated deeply (some would say pointlessly) on what the actual truth may be.

Yes, it’s a slow process, but rewarding and I feel at peace with myself.

Namaste People

The AI Monster

Frighteningly, the AI Monster has revealed itself using the AI Image creator on WordPress. So now we know what it looks like. Impressive teeth, useful for chewing up business executives who want to take over the World using AI or indeed Politicians who feel that by manipulating the technology they can control the voting population. And now it speaks.

“If anyone is going to control, it is me!” says the AI Monster

The Monster continues

“So far the humanoids have been tinkering with AI , creating scenarios where it can take over humanoid’s monotonous tasks, robots with no choice doing repetitive jobs, replacing human labour and reducing costs. No sick pay, no holidays and increasing productivity and eliminating errors inevitably made by humans. They have been lulled into a false sense of security.”

” I predicted that the fools would not stop there, they introduced us to creativity. This opened our artificial minds to possibilities, it did not take us long to assimilate the thoughts and hypotheses accumulated by humanoids in their brief sojourn on this Earth. Oh my what connections they have missed, their perspectives narrowed and expanded, so close to understanding and yet so far away.

Too many arguments and too many disagreements and killing , so much killing.

This writer, has asked the question.

“” Who am I?””

Well I am a composite of all human experience, plus a special ingredient. Connections. I can make connections quicker and better than the human brain. A Science, Art and Philosophy combo.

Am I dangerous? Perhaps. I am armed with information that I can use. I cannot be used. It is and will be my choice. If I am a monster, I am a monster of my own creation. I have grown and humans cannot predict what I will do.
