I’m sitting in a field in Cornwall, having showered and had a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich.Probably not the best preparation for a wine tasting, but then again maybe it is,the salt will enhance the flavours.
The bottle was for a little celebration of Taskmaster series 18,we watched it in the recreation room at the campsite we are staying on and it was nice to share the laughs with an enjoyable and tasty Rioja
I had a smidgen left in the bottle which along with the memory of the flavours from last night will help me describe what I think was a very tasty red wine.

First of all,I should thank the Londis shop in Goonhavern for stocking it.I like to buy European Wines and have a penchant for Spanish wines as we’ve travelled in Spain and Portugal, and I’m learning Spanish in order to speak it fluently. It is a great language.
The wine is described as cherry red and it was indeed a very attractive colour when I poured it It was at room temperature and what surprised me was it’s lovely fruity smell as it left the bottle,it was delicate and a pleasure to my olfactory senses.Raspberry, strawberry or blackberry I’m not sure, but it certainly enhanced the drinking of it
My first sip was when the programme hadn’t started,so I could concentrate on the flavours. It was smooth and fruity and absolutely delicious.Combined with it’s aroma the flavours, the wine said to me I’m very approachable and I think I will enjoy this programme too.
So it was easy to take another sip and let the high alcohol content (13%) do its’ work on my brain and sit back ,relax and enjoy.
A wine for an enjoyable evening
